Courier Independent Contractor Agreement

1. Independent Contractor Status

The Courier operates as an independent contractor and not as an employee, agent, or partner of parcelflow. The Courier owns or operates their own vehicle (boda, pickup, hiace, canter, or truck) and bears full responsibility for fuel, maintenance, insurance, and valid licences.

2. Scope of Services

The Courier agrees to transport parcels within the designated intra-city zone as assigned through the parcelflow platform. The Courier shall:

• Pick up parcels from designated collection points
• Transport parcels safely and deliver to the specified recipient
• Take a proof photo at pickup as required by parcelflow protocol
• Obtain receiver confirmation upon delivery

3. Earnings & Remittance

Earnings are settled per delivery based on the distance and vehicle class. Cash collections owed to the platform must be remitted when the balance threshold is reached as defined in the platform rules. Payments to the Courier are processed within 48 hours of delivery confirmation.

4. Declared Value Protection

The Courier acknowledges that parcels may carry a declared value as stated by the sender. The Courier must handle such parcels with appropriate care. In the event of loss or damage, the declared value as captured at the time of order creation governs the protection amount.

5. Conduct & Compliance

The Courier shall:

• Comply with all Tanzanian traffic and road safety regulations
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanour
• Not tamper with, open, or delay delivery of parcels without authorization
• Not sub-contract deliveries to third parties without parcelflow's written consent

6. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement with 14 days' written notice. parcelflow may terminate immediately in cases of fraud, theft, serious misconduct, or repeated delivery failures as measured by the platform's quality metrics.

7. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Dar es Salaam.
